I liked this post very much. This is a topic that many project managers are not comfortable talking about yet it is critical that we are prepared (emotionally) not only for success but also for failure. Because reality is that it is not always up to us alone to make a project successful. We depend on so many people for the success of our projects and it takes the efforts and committments of many people to bring a project to the finish line.
But if our project fails and we take it so personally, it will eventually impact our self confidence like you said.
